Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at cakeland.lk. We strive to provide you with the best online cake shopping experience possible. Please review our refund policy below.
At cakeland.lk, all orders are prepared fresh immediately after receiving the order. Due to the nature of our products, cancellation of orders is generally not feasible and will not be accepted. However, we understand that sometimes mistakes do happen.
Order Cancellation
If we are notified within one hour of placing the order, we will try our best to accept the cancellation on a case-by-case basis, subject to our discretion.
Refunds
If a cancellation is approved, a refund will be processed after charging a 15% cancellation fee. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment and will be completed within a maximum of 5 days.
Returns & Exchanges
Non-Refundable Situations:
- Failure to Pick Up Order: Returns are not effective if you are not there to pick up the order. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
- Incorrect Information or Non-Responsive: Returns are not effective if you do not pick up the phone or if the provided information is incorrect. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
Satisfaction Guarantee:
- Inspect Upon Delivery: We strongly recommend inspecting the contents of your delivery. If you are not 100% satisfied with the look of your cake, you are NOT obligated to accept the cake. If you choose not to accept the cake, you will be issued a full refund via the original purchase method.
- Post-Acceptance Policy: Once the cake has been accepted from the delivery executive, cakeland.lk does not bear any responsibility for damages occurring to the cake, and no refund will be provided for such damages.
Quality Complaints:
- Taste and Quality Issues: If you feel that the taste or other attributes of the cake are not as per your expectations, please write to us at contact@cakeland.lk clearly explaining your concerns. This helps us improve our quality for a better experience next time. We will either process a refund or send a replacement cake based on your choice. However, cakeland.lk retains the right to accept or deny the complaint based on what was promised on the website and the general characteristics of the product delivered.
Exchanges:
- No Exchanges: Exchanges are not acceptable as the cake is a perishable product.
Processing Time
Refunds and exchanges will be processed within 5 business days after we receive your refund request. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
